The limit where just looking at myself is a ghastly site, that thick belt of fat around my waist. God I am awful now, and I think back about how I used to be 5 years ago. I decide I will do something about it... again. But this time I want to make it work (yeah right). So I look at the elliptical machine I bought a year ago, a Pro Form 700, and get on it. The goal - complete a 20 minute workout, doesn't matter how slowly I do it but just complete it. 20 minutes later, I am panting and sweating, but I got it started. Tomorrow is a work day, will I exercise?

I am trying to motivate myself and tell myself I can do this. I love baseball, so I decided I would think of this as a hitting streak. Right now it is at 1, so for how long can I keep this going? I also try to create a goal, a motivation, so I can keep doing this. In mid July, I am going to get a physical. My goal - lower my cholestrol at least by 10 points compared to my last report.

Today is June 20, and now I have completed 21 days of continuous exercise, the same 20 minutes a day. But the last 2 days I burnt more calories doing cardio than I ever have in my life (490 in 20 mins). I am not seeing any results yet, and I dont know how long it will last, but heck I stuck around for 21 days and hopefully I will keep going.

If you have ever been overweight or just didn't like your belly section, maybe you have some tips for me? Some people say I need 30 minutes of cardio to see results and 20 minutes isnt enough. Is this true?

I want to write weekly, more for myself and if I can inspire anyone along the way, great. If someone can inspire me, even better. I want to just motivate myself and see if I can get back to the shape I used to be in. Who knows, some heads might even turn if I keep this up? Hey there is another motivation... On that thought, good bye for now. Have a great week.
